Filling is about flow and venting
Injection speed, melt temperature, mold temperature and gate location influence flow balance, weld lines, trapped air and burn marks.
Packing controls sink and dimensions
Packing pressure, packing time and gate freeze time affect sink marks, dimensional stability and internal stress.
Cooling affects cycle and warpage
Insufficient cooling may cause post-mold deformation and unstable dimensions, while excessive cooling increases cycle cost.
Do not solve every defect by tuning only
If the root cause is wall thickness, poor venting, weak shutoff or wrong gate position, process tuning can only reduce the symptom temporarily.
